This ring features a Chocolate Sapphire which has been bezel set onto a dime manufactured prior to 1965, when they were minted in “coin silver” or “coinage silver” which is 90% fine silver, and 10% copper. Tai Vautier has been making jewelry for 20 years. She lives in Portland, Oregon and is deeply inspired by the elements of the Pacific Northwest. She employs advanced techniques such as alloying her own metals, fusing, reticulation and micro-granulation to achieve her unique textures.
