This matte elliptical lamp is carved from alabaster found in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. The natural alabaster is formed over time from old seabeds causing the different layers and colors. The artist called this alabaster sunrise for the vibrant yellow or almost pink tinges in some of the layers of alabaster.
